Worst Thing Going (For Tuesday)

Right after the election we saw a small upsurge in anti-abortion activity. But since the inauguration, things have gotten measurably worse. There's been an increase in picketing by students from Franciscan University in Ohio. On Saturdays there are 60-plus protesters and there's been an increase in screaming and aggression. We don't have a parking lot so people park on the street. The antis have surrounded cars, trapping the women inside, and in several cases the antis jumped into vehicles and touched or grabbed at them. The police were called but so far they don't seem to be responding appropriately.

I've been wondering: (mostly because of lovely New Jersey real housewife Jacqueline) do abortion protesters feel the same way about woman who have repeated miscarriages but continue to try and get pregnant? I mean if you're over 40 and you're on your 4th miscarriage isn't it all the same murder? It would have to be right?

don't call it murder!

No, I'm referencing the anti-activists in the article you linked who call it murder.

i know. i know. i was joking. the article just made me wonder about anti-activists who have been pregnant and given birth. as nuts as it is that middle aged white men seem to get into such a rage over my womb choices, it's more difficult for me to understand how any woman who has been through a prgnancy could still see no boundaries of privacy, still not understand how personal each woman's experience truly is. ooof.

Honestly I get kind of lost in that part of the argument myself. I mean if the fetus is truly capable of surviving out of the womb at some point why not just take it out and put it in a test tube instead of terminating it? I know we don't have the technology nor does the state have the capacity to take on so many wards but it's something I've always wondered about philosophically.

yeah, i know, GROSS. but what's the argument against it?
