I think this is an elaborated and exaggerated quotation from something Bonami said about the Whitney Biennial (about it being a kind of anniversary celebration, which people "need," like marking a "birthday," or something like that) . . .?
He said something like the first two lines, but I'm pretty sure (pretty sure) that the rest is an exaggerated extension (which is certainly in keeping with the BHQF theme of "miseducation") . . . might be wrong, though?
